The Gloves are Off

I've heard stories about ranchers leaving old boots on fence posts to indicate the days work is done and they are at home. To honor the boots themselves for a job well done when they've been worn beyond repair. These gloves grace the fence posts along a planted field. Perhaps farmers hang gloves instead of boots.
