These are my mother's hands. She taught me to crochet, knit and tat and to appreciate anything made by hand. Thanks Mom.

  1. That's beautiful! I love the idea of painting or photographing just a person's hands as a portrait. I tried to do my husband's hands, rescuing a battered wooden boat from the rocks... but I didn't do very well with it. I wanted to do a whole series of our family's hands...

  2. Sweet photo... I noticed the crochet forms a heart right under her fingers & the needle. Mom's are the best!
ps~ nice sunflower below, too! I always think of them as the happiest flowers!

  6. It's amazing how one photo tells a story with little or no words.

  7. First of all, I want to thank you for visiting my Blog and becoming a friend. I have read some of your posts and quite frankly I wanted to leave a comment on each one. They are so beautiful, so magical! However, this particular one speaks to me. It's funny, just a couple of days ago I wrote about the beauty of older hands and here it is, a perfect example. Hope you have a great weekend. I'll be back! XX
