Travel Plans

Ideas are percolating. This old atlas and monopoly shoe seemed to set the mood for me this year. Ireland,Scotland or some of both? Summer or Fall? I feel like I need to get this years trip especially right. If the Mayans have got it right I may not get to go back again, eek! What's your dream destination?

  1. Let's hope the Mayans have it wrong, or that we are misinterpreting! Otherwise I'll have to quit my job today & get busy! Your trip will be wonderful, no matter what you choose. For me, #1 is ALASKA!
    Great photo, BTW!

  2. I agree with Becky :) Wherever you choose to go, your trip will be great. Both Ireland and Scotland sound great. If you choose to go in the fall, don't forget those wellies--great for trudging across the wet meadows.

P.S. I'm saving up so I could visit Paris again this year to take more photos. This time, I'm taking my sister with me. She's never been to Paris and I would like to share my favorite places with her. This would be our first trip together.

  3. Thanks Becky-I'm with you. Lets hope for a change for the better instead of a do over. Alaska! Spent some time there as a young child. I remember it as son beautiful and large. I'm afraid to see it again as an adult.

  4. Paris, ahhh. I'd love to visit but I confess, the language barrier intimidates me. I'll need to find a fluent friend to travel with.

  5. Do both, but do them in summer!!!
Ireland is only a quick boat trip from Scotland!
If you come this way, let me know, you could see my garden in the flesh lol!

  7. I wish I could do them both Claire. But I decided on the 9/24-10/3. I'll be with a small group tour. We'll spend 7days in the Kingdom of Fife in a home and do trips out of there and then 3 days in Edinburgh. I was in Scotland last year at the end of October and it was pretty nippy for me. I'm hoping to get to enjoy lots of Autumn color that I miss around here. What part of Scotland are you in?

  8. Im in the south west of Scotland, about 50 miles from Edinburgh. Near Lockerbie :)
You would love the art galleries in Edinburgh, there is a lovely one on Princes Street, well worth a visit, and I think it is free to get into.
