Bed Love

Have you taken a nap lately?

intr.v., napped, nap·ping, naps.
1.To sleep for a brief period, often during the day; doze.

Why do they say "take" a nap? Why not "find" a nap, "discover", "give yourself" a nap.

  1. Love it! I am a huuuge napper. Have you ever read anything by "Sark"? she writes about how important and awesome naps are. sigh. I feel like "giving myself" a nap right now, actually. :) ~Mary

  3. How I envy the cat. I do enjoy taking naps, especially on weekends.

«Taking» a nap...I suppose that it's like taking a small dose of something as opposed to «going» to sleep, where one actually remains at rest for several hours.

  4. I LOVE NAPS! though i hardly ever take them, because i tend to be a 3 hour napper... so it take a good potion of the day & then i have trouble sleeping at night. HOWEVER, the are a delicious & delightful treat! I can see you kitty thinks so, too!

  5. The cats will always vote for a nap. This is SweetPea. I picked her up from a different spot and placed her here. She was like..."nap in this spot now? Sure."
